TASMANIA'S 15 Beijing Olympians more than held their own on the world's greatest sporting stage over the past 16 days.
In addition to returning with one gold, a silver and three bronze medallists, the Tasmanian contingent was able to achieve some world class top 10 results.
In the case of Coastal cyclist Mark Jamieson and quad scull rower Brendan Long, of Launceston, who both finished fourth in their finals, fractions of a second made the difference between a bronze medal and their final results.
