IN REPLY to Bill Macmichael (Adv., Aug. 9).
1. Queenstown travel 180km every second week to play in the DFA and always field two full sides - no matter what our position on the ladder is.
Maybe the club that you were talking about should show the same commitment.
You never see Darren Hoare, Nigel Coulson, Adrian Dolting, Brett Jones or Guy Gray whingeing about playing at Queenstown because we are part of the DFA (like all other clubs).
2. Play on the `Gravel Oval' where you can always kick 20 goals a game or play in the bog where you might kick five.
I wonder what the spectators would rather watch. (Our ground is "heritage" not a "paddock").
3. Queenstown play finals footy because of its commitment to the competition.
Winning games home and away - Yolla, Cuprona, Natone and Yeoman both home and away. South Burnie and Somerset at home.
We have not beaten Ridgley this year but we are not alone there.
And our reserves team has only lost two games for the year as well.
Maybe you should worry about the state of football at your club.
